Protocol Lab: From Idea to Action

Class Description

Creating a protocol sounds easy enough. Decide what you want, establish the rule, and everybody follows it. Done! Except then work runs late, somebody forgets, the instructions aren't as clear as everyone thought, or real life finds some completely new way to get involved. Welcome to the lab. In this interactive class, Master Cyborg and Sassy take protocol off the page and put it into practice. Together we'll build protocols, test them, intentionally throw a few problems at them, and see what survives. Along the way, we'll look at purpose, expectations, communication, practice, consistency, and knowing when something needs to be changed rather than simply enforced harder. Because the goal isn't having more protocols. It's creating protocols that have meaning—and actually work for the people expected to live them.
